The safety assessment for sub-surface disposal of radioactive wastes should ensure that calculated dose will be lower than the dose assigned to the scenario in question over the whole evaluation period of hundreds of thousands years. We have developed several assessment tools for the safe disposal of radioactive wastes on the GoldSim platform, and calculated doses since JFY 2008. These assessment tools have been improved reflecting the last view of assessment. In addition, we have developed an assessment tool for the gas migration scenario. This report describes concept of assessment model and structure of tool for the gas migration scenario.

To evaluate materials balance in nuclear fuel cycle quickly and quantitatively the fuel cycle requirement code "FAMILY" was improved. And an accumulated TRU&LLFP quantity analysis code was developed. The contents are as follows: (1)A calculation ability of minor actinide production and expenditure was added to the "FAMILY" code. (2)An output program for the "FAMILY" calculation results was developed. (3)A simple version of "FAMILY" code was developed. (4)An analysis code for accumulated TRU&LLFP quantity in nuclear fuel cycle was developed.

This paper reports on the development of ISRE (the Integrated System for Repository Engineering), as a knowledge management tool on repository design and engineering technology, which manages and inherits the information and knowledge of each phase of the disposal project of radioactive waste lasting around 100 years, and which also enables reasonable design of the repository by using accumulated and integrated information. The content of this paper is the conceptual design of the ISRE utilizing CIM (Computer Information Modeling) technology.
